Axel AI is a sole-trader studio operating from Brisbane, Queensland. This page explains what personal information we collect when you visit axelai.com.au or engage us as a client, and what we do with it. We follow the principles of the Australian Privacy Principles even where exemptions for small business may technically apply.
What we collect
From the contact form on this site:
- Your name
- Your company (optional)
- Your email address
- The message you write
From your visit (collected automatically by our hosting provider, Vercel): IP address, user-agent string, referrer, and request timestamps. These are kept in standard server logs.
We do not use marketing cookies, third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or session-replay tools on this site.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry.
- To deliver the work we have agreed to do for you.
- To meet our legal obligations (for example, retaining invoice records for ATO purposes).
We do not sell your information, share it with advertisers, or use it to train models.
Who handles it
Your enquiry is handled directly by the founder. The following processors touch your data in the course of normal operations:
- Resend — sends contact-form messages to our inbox.
- Vercel — hosts the site and serves logs.
- Google Fonts — serves typography (your IP is visible to Google for the duration of the request).
When you become a client, additional processors may be added (for example: your CRM, your email provider, your repo host). These are always systems you already use and control.
How long we keep it
- Contact-form messages: 24 months, then deleted, unless the conversation has become an active engagement.
- Client engagement records: 7 years (ATO requirement for tax-related records).
- Server logs:retained per Vercel's defaults (typically 30 days).
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Delete it — except where we are required by law to keep it (e.g. tax records).
Email info@axelai.com.au and we will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with how we've handled a privacy concern, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Where data is stored
Vercel and Resend host data in the United States. By using this site or contacting us through it, you are consenting to your information being stored and processed there. We do not transfer client work product offshore without your explicit agreement.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything material, we will update this page and bump the "Last updated" date above. We don't maintain a mailing list, so you are encouraged to check back if you depend on the specifics.
